From Petal to Piece

The Process Behind Each Piece

1. Flower Preservation

• The first step in creating a resin piece is carefully preserving the flowers.
• Each flower is preserved to maintain their natural shape and color.
• This step can take 3-6 weeks, depending on the type of flower, ensuring that they are fully dried without losing their delicate beauty.

2. Quality Check and Preparation

Once the flowers are dried, each one is meticulously checked to ensure they have preserved their color and structural integrity.
• If a flower’s color has faded or changed, a color correction process is applied to restore its original vibrancy.
• Flowers that may have lost petals are repaired by carefully reattaching them and reshaping the structure to ensure they look as beautiful as they did fresh.
• This stage ensures the flowers are in perfect condition to be incorporated into the design.

3. Design and Customization

• The design process begins with conceptualizing a layout that balances structure, creativity, and the client’s preferences.
• Two main design styles are offered:
• Framed (Cornerized) Layout: Flowers are arranged along the borders of the piece, leaving the center open for a minimalist look.
• Bouquet Layout: Flowers are arranged in a central composition, spreading outward like a full bouquet.
• Each design style can be tailored to create either a minimalist look, where less is more, or a full design that maximizes the use of flowers for a bold and complete aesthetic.
• Throughout this process, I collaborate with the client to confirm their desired design and make any adjustments to ensure the final piece reflects their vision.

4. From Design to Production

• Once the design is finalized, the production process begins. This stage transforms the preserved flowers into a timeless resin piece.
• This stage is where the vision comes to life, combining the natural beauty of the flowers with the sleek, glass-like finish of resin.
